Parvarthi Nada Nath, a high level yogini who travels the world teaching people to discover truth and uncover freedom, is visiting Gaia Collaborative Medicine to teach workshops from July 20-22.

"She only does four trips a year and it is unbelievable that she has chosen Canmore. She heard about our clinic and she wanted to support us," Dr. Tracy Thomson, head of Gaia said. "She is one of the highest level practitioners on the planet. She is the embodiment of power and wisdom."

Parvarthi Nada Nath will give two days of full workshops as well as a special half-day session alongside the Bow River in Canmore on Thursday, July 22. On that day, registrants will sit by the water and listen to her teachings, meditate and participate in a gentle Hatha yoga session to end the afternoon.

So far, 43 people have registered and there are seven spots left, Thomson said.

"She will be facilitating a connection with nature. Her teachings are extremely beneficial for healing of any type," Thomson said. "Participants don't need to be experienced in yoga. Most of the time spent in the workshops will be sitting and listening to teachings and meditation."

Thomson stressed that the event is not meant to convert people to any particular religion.

"Her work is applicable to anyone," Thomson said. "Of any gender, religion or tradition. You are never asked to leave anything or anyone, or to convert or function in a spiritually exclusive way."

Parvarthi Nada Nath, originally from India, is a yogini of the Tantric tradition of the Shakti and she is from an unbroken lineage of 7,000 years. She uses yoga science to explore consciousness, mind, emotions and the body. Her aim is to assist men and women in their growth by integrating the depths of consciousness, including the physical, mental and spiritual levels.

According to Thomson, Chandi nyasa, the teachings that Parvarthi Nada Nath will offer, is a powerful vibrational practice that places a specific healing mantra in the body in a precise way that loosens the knots that obstruct our ability to exist in nonduality and any level of expanded consciousness and our willingness to experience beyond what is already known.

The practice helps people to recognize their perceptions of reality and frees energy to serve a greater purpose. Healing can occur as the vibrations of the mantra move through the heart and the organs of the digestive and reproductive systems, Thomson said.

"Parvarthi Nada Nath is very intelligent," Thomson said. "She speaks six languages and she is fluid in Sanskrit."

The yogini recently decoded the 32 volume Tantra Loca textbooks, which are very secret teachings that were written in the 16th century.

"She is releasing a great deal of wisdom," Thomson said. "People used to have to study and wait for 20 years to hear these words. But because of the state of our planet, these teachers are becoming more accessible, because we need them."

Listening to Parvarthi Nada Nath would benefit anyone, Thomson said.

"She is the embodiment of feminine power and wisdom," Thomson said.
